Sukumar Choudhuri, the author of many remarkable awarded books and therecipient of‘Ekhon Kabita’, ‘Mayamegh’, ‘Durer Kheya’, ‘Sahityasetu’ and many other prestigious awards of repute has been invited by Madhya Pradesh Bangla Academy to grace their Literary Festivalon 20th April 2008 at Jabalpur.
The Literary festival will be inaugurated in the morn of 20th April 2008, Sundayin the auditorium of Indian Medical Association of Jabalpur to commemorate the 15th years of publication of literary magazine Madhyama by Madhya Pradesh Bangla Academy.Sukumar will recite his selected poemsduring the proceedings of the literary festival throughout the day.
Sukumar, the prominent poet of 80s further invited to grace legendary 'BahirbangaKabita Utsav’to be held at Jamshedpuron 21st of April2008.
The day long festival will be inaugurated by Debdoot. DEBDOOT is a prominent Social Welfare Organization of Jamshedpur.They have invited Sukumar,the mainstay of the life force of the 80’s world of Bengali Poetry, to present his selectivepoems in the evening session of the programme among many poets and dignitaries of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Bangladesh, Utrtarbanga and Jharkhand.Sukumar Choudhuriis the Creative Editor ofKhanan, the Bengaliliterary journal of our green city, which had been adjudged the Best little Magazine of India in Jalpaiguri Book Fair in the recent past and awarded ‘MunshiPremchand MunshiAward ‘ besides ‘Mahadiganta’ and other awards in its credit.

SUKUMAR invited to grace WORLD BENGALI POETRY FESTIVAL
Sukumar Choudhuri, the Creative Editor of Khanan and the recipient of‘Ekhon Kabita’, ‘Mayamegh’, ‘Durer Kheya’, ‘Sahityasetu’ and many other prestigious awards of repute has been invited to grace the legendary 'Bishwabangla KabitaUtsav’to be held at Port City Haldia, West Bengal between 24th and 25th of February 2008.
The two-day poetry festival will be inaugurated in the morn of 24th of February 2008 in the auditorium of Indian Oil Management of Haldia Township. Two hundred global poets from different parts of the world will present their recent poems during the two-day festival. On 25th of February 2008, at around 4 PM.Sukumar will also participate in the seminar on ‘Poetries of outide Bengal ~ its crisis and prospects’.
