Sukumar invited to grace Multilingual Poets Meet

Sukumar Choudhuri, the recipient of  ‘Ekhon Kabita’, ‘Mayamegh’, ‘Durer Kheya’, ‘Sahityasetu’ and many other awards of repute has been invited to grace Multilingual Poetry Meet  to be held at Shrimant Baburao Dhanwate Sabhagruh, Rashtrabhasha Sankul, Maharashtra Rashtrabhasha Sabha, near Deaf and Dumb School, Shankar Nagar Square, Nagpur at 10 am on 10th August 2008, tomorrow.



 



This interesting  Morning Poetry festival has been jointly organized by Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan, Nagpur Vibhagiya Kendra and Sahitya Vihar, a  Literary Forum of the Green City.  Dr Pankaj Chande, Vice Chancellor of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek will preside over while Sri Girish Gandhi will be the Chief Guest. 



 



Sukumar will present his Bengali poems while Mrinalini Kelkar, a prominent Marathi author,  will represent Sukumar’s poem in Marathi.  Besides Dr Chandragupta Warnekar (Sanskrit), Dr Joginder Kaur Mahajan (Punjabi), Dr Harekrishna Agasthi (Udiya), Dr Madhusudan Penha (Telugu), Kumari Malti Nimkhedkar (Marathi), Dr Supanth Bhattacharya (English), Dr Azhar Hayat (Urdu), Dr Ashok Warnekar (Assami) and Sri Krishnakumar Choube (Hindi) will also recite their poems.   Prof Umesh Chandra Sarodaya will conduct  the session while Asha Pande on behalf of Sahitya Vihar has appealed the audience to attend the meet to taste the flavour of recent poems of different horizon..

SUKUMAR invited to grace BAHIRBANGA KABITA UTSAVS

Sukumar Choudhuri, the author of many remarkable awarded books and the  recipient of  ‘Ekhon Kabita’, ‘Mayamegh’, ‘Durer Kheya’, ‘Sahityasetu’ and many other prestigious awards of repute has been invited by Madhya Pradesh Bangla Academy to grace their Literary Festival  on 20th April 2008 at Jabalpur. 


 


The Literary festival will be inaugurated in the morn of 20th April 2008, Sunday  in the auditorium of Indian Medical Association of Jabalpur to commemorate the 15th years of publication of literary magazine Madhyama by Madhya Pradesh Bangla Academy.  Sukumar will recite his selected poems  during the proceedings of the literary festival throughout the day.


 


Sukumar, the prominent poet of 80s further invited to grace legendary 'Bahirbanga  Kabita Utsav’  to be held at Jamshedpur  on 21st of April  2008. 


 


The day long festival will be inaugurated by Debdoot. DEBDOOT is a prominent Social Welfare Organization of Jamshedpur.   They have invited Sukumar,  the mainstay of the life force of the 80’s world of Bengali Poetry, to present his selective  poems in the evening session of the programme among many poets and dignitaries of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Bangladesh, Utrtarbanga and Jharkhand.  Sukumar Choudhuri  is the Creative Editor of  Khanan, the Bengali  literary journal of our green city, which had been adjudged the Best little Magazine of India in Jalpaiguri Book Fair in the recent past and awarded ‘Munshi  Premchand Munshi  Award ‘ besides ‘Mahadiganta’  and other awards in its credit.
