Sukumar Choudhuri, the recipient of‘Ekhon Kabita’, ‘Mayamegh’, ‘Durer Kheya’, ‘Sahityasetu’ and many other awards of repute has been invited to grace Multilingual Poetry Meetto be held at Shrimant Baburao Dhanwate Sabhagruh, Rashtrabhasha Sankul, Maharashtra Rashtrabhasha Sabha, near Deaf and DumbSchool, Shankar Nagar Square, Nagpur at 10 am on 10th August 2008, tomorrow.
This interesting Morning Poetry festival has been jointly organized by Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan, Nagpur Vibhagiya Kendra and Sahitya Vihar, a Literary Forum of the GreenCity.Dr Pankaj Chande, Vice Chancellor of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek will preside over while Sri Girish Gandhi will be the Chief Guest.
Sukumar will present his Bengali poems while Mrinalini Kelkar, a prominent Marathi author, will represent Sukumar’s poem in Marathi. Besides Dr Chandragupta Warnekar (Sanskrit), Dr Joginder Kaur Mahajan (Punjabi), Dr Harekrishna Agasthi (Udiya), Dr Madhusudan Penha (Telugu), Kumari Malti Nimkhedkar (Marathi), Dr Supanth Bhattacharya (English), Dr Azhar Hayat (Urdu), Dr Ashok Warnekar (Assami) and Sri Krishnakumar Choube (Hindi) will also recite their poems.Prof Umesh Chandra Sarodaya will conduct the session while Asha Pande on behalf of Sahitya Vihar has appealed the audience to attend the meet to taste the flavour of recent poems of different horizon..
